Cover artwork, illustration and CD packaging design for Modern Artifact by pianist and composer Jeff Pittson, with solo performances on the Wurlitzer 200-A electronic piano, a unique and intimate electric instrument made famous by Ray Charles. Although the Wurli used to record this album wasn’t red, we thought it was fitting that the cover pay homage to this rare variant produced in the early 70s.
