Evan Pittson is a designer, visual artist, and musician living in New York. His specialties include print and digital layout, hand-drawn and vector illustration, and typeface and lettering design. He works within a variety of print and digital media including signage, CD covers, brochures, web sites, food and beverage packaging, and clothing.
Evan currently works at Eventide Audio as a graphic designer, making contributions to branding, packaging, audio plug-in and software UI, hardware interface design, and web design.
Mr. Pittson holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Electronic Design and Multimedia, and a Master of Professional Studies degree in Branding and Integrated Communications from the City College of New York. He is skilled in Adobe Creative Suite applications such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Muse, Premiere and After Effects, and has a foundation in HTML and CSS.
In 2015 Evan established his business as a fontographer, designing custom fonts in traditional and variable formats. His newest typeface Mecha is a modern 16-style font family designed for display and body text. Mecha fuses sleek geometry with classic humanist letterform design, with extensive language support, contextual ligatures and alternate glyphs.
