The CCNY Jazz Program is one of the oldest college jazz programs in the United States, and being based in Harlem, it continues to be one of the top schools to study in the world, fostering each students’ individuality and creativity, with a roster of educators who are some of NYC’s top musicians.
CCNY Jazz also hosts the CUNY Jazz Festival each Spring, a 2-day event featuring performances by students and faculty from throughout the CUNY schools, with concerts and master classes by such guest artists as Randy Brecker, Al Foster, Fred Hersch, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Chris Potter.
